A baby falling asleep
I have a baby nile monitor for 3 months now and bonded with him. But now he isn’t active as before and I don’t know where I went wrong. All he does now is sleep. Any tips on whats going on.
We understand. Nothing’s more important than your clubs. Don’t lose sleep over your golf clubs, ship them with FedEx whenever you travel.
but what if your the one having sepparation anxiety and cant put your child in their own bed. The room is baby proofed and all and has been since birth. But you cant handle her not being close to you. Yes I admit I have a bit of a problem. My other two children slept in our rooms in their cribs but cant do that with this one no room for the crib just her pack n play, bouncer and swing. The baby doesnt have a problem sleeping any where she will sleep in her bed Im the one with the problem I cant stand her being in there I get paranoid and go get her. I dont know how to change this though. She will sleep in her crib I just cant bring myself to leave her there. I know its pretty sad I just dont know how to fix it. I want to do what is best for her and let her be in her room in her bed but I will literally lay down on the bed with the baby monitor right next to my ear laying there for hours till I decide to get up and get her so I can go to sleep. Any suggestions??
My baby is almost 2 and I’m still using the monitor so that I can hear her if she wakes up crying. She’s been sleeping through the night 99% of the time since she was 5 months old, but there are occasions where she’s not feeling so good and will wake up. She’s still in a crib, so she can’t exactly get up and come get me. My husband and I sleep with a fan on in our bedroom, so I need the monitor, otherwise I wouldn’t be able to hear her at all. But, when do I stop using it for good? When she’s 18 or what? LOL
when did you really start using yours? my baby is going to sleep in my bed (in a co-sleeper that keeps him safe)…..and im not really gonne leave him alone at all…..so how important is it that i have one for the first like 3 months?
I let her play quietly in her room instead of napping because she couldn’t sleep. She is up there breaking up words. We do it when we practice her reading. I think she might be reading. It is so cute that I can’t turn the monitor off. Do y’all think I am invading her privacy? She is 4.
I will add that I have the monitor because her room is afar off from ours…and I wouldn’t hear her at night without it.
I was wondering how often you guys use your baby monitor…
I received one at my baby shower, and I have never used it. In fact, my daughter is 10 weeks old, and the monitor is still in it’s sealed packaging. I am considering returning it, and here’s why…I work 8 hours a day, so she is normally at a sitters for at least 8.5, I am never more than 10 feet from her in the evenings, and we co-sleep, because I breastfeed. Even if we weren’t co-sleeping, she would be in the same room, because I’m a single mom, living with my parents, so only one bedroom for us.
Should I take the monitor back, or keep it?
Just wondering if that’s really a necessity. We have a 2-story with an open staircase, there literally is nowhere in the house I wouldn’t be able to hear her cry even if it wasn’t loud, plus she’s going to sleep in our room for the first year anyway since I’m breastfeeding. The only time I can think of is if she was down for a nap and I shut the door so I wouldn’t disturb her. Do you use one? Do you consider a monitor to be a necessity, an optional item, or a waste of money?
