Every night at the same time there is loud interference on our analog baby monitor. Other than this we have no problems with it picking up neighbors etc. Even if we turn the volume all the way down, we can still hear peoples garbled talking as if it were turned all the way up. There are pauses, like it is an actual conversation, but we cannot make out anything specific. It happens on both channels. We tried digital monitors but it was constantly losing signal with its base, causing the alarm to go off, no matter what we did. And that was the expensive one. (We tried two different ones)
We live on a busy highway. Lots of trucks pass by daily and I am concerned about interference from their radios. I don’t however want to spend a fortune on a baby monitor. Can anyone suggest a good one that’s not too expensive? TIA
We have a monitor but it is always making noise from interference and when I tried to bring it outside last night it started beeping because I was out of range when I should not have been.
In this episode of The Lab, Denise and Alan Fields, authors of “Baby Bargains” join us to tell parents what to look for when buying a baby monitor. They outline a few things to take into consideration, such as security and privacy, possible interference issues with other electronics like cell phones and computers, and the importance of having rechargeable batteries. They also discuss the differences between an audio baby monitor and a video baby monitor. Dads and moms, what kind of baby monitors do you use? Tell us over at DadLabs.com. DadLabs. Ep. 753 is brought to you by BabyBjorn. Distributed by Tubemogul.
We have the AngelCare monitor, but when it is on, we get terrible static. It may be interference with some Plantronics 900 mghz headseat phones we need for work. Is there a brand that works on a different frequency?

The last one I tried would only have the screen on when the baby made a sound. I want one with an option to have it on all the time, sound or not, or by voice. Also, one with no or very little interference would be great.
